故事 Gùshi The story
Yuan-Yuan arrives at Grandma's house hopping and giggling. But the nappy is bulky and tight, and something doesn't feel right.
Grandma smiles and says it plainly: 圓圓，去上廁所吧！ So Yuan-Yuan tries. Sits. Waits. Nothing happens. Tries again later — and this time, it works.
There's no scolding when nothing comes, and no big fuss when it finally does. Just a grandmother clapping, warm water for washing paws, and a bowl of sweet tangyuan.
Potty training is a milestone that a lot of books turn into a performance. This one keeps it small, warm, and doable.
